I have made it no secret that I absolutely LOVE Etsy shops. Their great service, their personal touch, their great shipping costs, the little handwritten notes that come with orders… They make shopping for fabric even more addictive.
And sometimes, they really surprise you. Like a few months ago, when I ordered my 1000 Cranes fabric from a New York-based Etsy shop, and received a thank you note in Dutch. A New Yorkian who speaks Dutch? Now that sparked my curiosity.
A little convo later, I learned that Harvest Fabrics is run by fellow Belgian fabric enthusiast Silke, who moved to New York to be with her then boyfriend (now husband) Eb.
Silke and my tastes are incredibly similar. She sells some of my favorite brands (Art Gallery, Birch, Cloud 9, Lotta Jansdotter). Her shop is small, but her selection includes the prettiest prints and the best qualities! Silke and I also share a soft spot for organic cottons, which shows in her selection. Below is just a little glimpse:
Silke also let me know that she would love to give some fabrics to StraightGrain readers. No, not some old left-overs of fabrics which aren’t selling well, but 2 yards of choice from Cloud 9’s beautiful hit collection Bark and Branch, designed by Eloise Renouf.
You can choose whether you’d like to win 2 continuous yards of 1 fabric, or 2 different pieces of 1 yard, or all four fabrics in half yard increments, or a yard and two half yards. The contest is open to international customers.
So how can you win this lovely prize?
– Use the Rafflecopter widget below to like Harvest Fabrics’ brand new Facebook page
– Also use it to follow StraightGrain on Facebook
– Optional: Visit the Harvest Fabrics shop, and let me know in the comments section which is your favorite fabric (excluding the Bark & Branch line)
And then cross your fingers until they hurt 🙂 Winners will be announced in one week (Monday March 3).
Thank you so much for your generosity, Silke!
