Bubble dress pattern available now

After an avalanche of computer problems over the last three days, I finally managed to finish the bubble dress pattern and instructions, and open up my shop.

The bubble dress pattern is sold for $8, and is immediately available for download. Just click the “Add to cart” button blow, and you will be taken through all the necessary steps.

The patterns and instructions are in pdf-format, easy to print (on letter size or A4 paper) and to assemble. The 29 page file includes:
– easy-to-follow sewing instructions with full-color pictures of each step
– digitally drawn patterns for ages 1Y, 18M, 2Y, 3Y, 4Y, 5Y, 6Y, seam allowance included
– detailed information about printing and assembling the patterns, yardage needed, materials needed, and sizing
– cutting diagrams for quilting width and regular width fabric
– all measurements are provided in inches/yards and centimeters

The new pattern and instructions are about a trillion times better than the previous, free versions, and that has everything to do with the excellent feedback I received from all the testers who helped improve them: Amanda, Ana Sofia, Ashley, Christine, Erin, Jenny, Karen, Katie, Kristin, Olga, Maria, Marta, Megan, Melinda, Nina, Randi, and Shana. Thank you so much!

  1. Once purchased – is the pattern then emailed or snail mailed? My mom wants to make one for my daughter for Easter 🙂

  2. Glad the pattern is ready An! Thanks so much again for letting me test this great dress! I'm itching to make another, I liked the first one so well!

  3. Well, the pattern will be mailed within 24 hours to the email address linked to your Etsy account (or an alternative one if you provide it in the comment section). But generally, I send the pattern much sooner – somewhere between 1 and 12 hours.
Great to have a mom who can do the sewing for you 🙂

  4. I have been so excited waiting for this pattern release! I was just wondering, I run a small Etsy/Facebook based children's clothing store, once purchased am I able to make a small number of dresses using this pattern to sell in my store? Thank you, C

  5. Thank you Caitlin! And yes, you can sell small quantities, as long as the listing included a reference to my Etsy shop. I'm looking forward to seeing your version(s) of the dress 🙂

  6. I'm not new to sewing, but just recently branching out into making actual clothing. I was excited to find the free pattern and tutorial on pinterest several weeks ago, but so bummed that it was now a purchase pattern. I went ahead and bought it yesterday. I stayed up till 2:00 am finishing a dress for my daughter, and I LOVE IT! I want to make 10 more for my daughter. Very well done pattern. I can tell a lot of work went into this. And it was worth the purchase price.

  7. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving us the opportunity to pattern test for you! It was a true delight!! The bubble aspect and peter pan collar 'sold us' on the pattern immediately, and we're already excited about making another version of it for our older niece…

  8. Thank you An! It was such an honour to have the opportunity to pattern test this adorable bubble dress – It was an immediate wineer around here – my litle girl loved it and even my husband, who usually doesn't loves “bubbles”, said it looks adorable on her 🙂
I was also very impressed with the pattern instructions – simple, precise and very easy to follow. Can't wait for your next pattern …

  9. An, thank you so much for this wonderful pattern. Just posted some pictures of the first bubble dress I sewed for easter for my two-year-old. I have already sewn another and am about to start the third. Might need an intervention… 😉

    Cheers from Germany, Lisa

  10. I bought the pattern and sewed it up for an Easter dress for my daughter. I am new to sewing clothes, and it was an easy pattern and tutorial to follow. Lots of helpful pictures! I used voile, and it turned out beautifully. Thanks for the wonderful pattern!
